Hot on the heels of Disney announcing its ticket price increase, v Universal Orlando Resort is also increasing the cost of its tickets.
As of Friday, February 16, the current ticket prices are $115 for one-day, single-park admission (up from $110). Park-to-park one-day tickets start at $170 (up from $165).
Again, both Universal and Disney are looking for guests to stay on property for more than one day, and the tiered ticket pricing reflects that.
From the Orlando Sentinel…
“We evolve our prices to reflect the value of the entertainment experience we provide our guests, and we always work to create value-driven options for our guests within our most popular ticket packages,” Alyson Lundell, a Universal Orlando Resort spokeswoman, said in a statement. “For example, guests who use our multi-day tickets can save as much as $60 per day off single-day prices.”
Both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort are experiencing unprecedented periods of expansion, and all that new magic costs. It’s not surprising that the cost is being passed on to consumers.
