Universal Studios Hollywood Face Mask Requirement Has Returned!

Source: Spectrum News

It was recently announced that Los Angeles County is requiring face masks to be worn indoors regardless of vaccination status. Now it looks like Universal Studios Hollywood is once again requiring that all visitors must wear a face mask (regardless of vaccination status) both indoors and outdoors unless they are actively eating and drinking. The update has been made on their website:

The State of California strongly recommends that when you visit Universal Studios Hollywood you be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, or obtain a negative COVID-19 test result prior to visiting. Regardless of vaccination status, face coverings are required to be worn at all times, both indoors and outdoors, when visiting the theme park. At Universal CityWalk, face coverings are required to be worn within all indoor locations. Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present; we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit.

The return of the face mask mandate at the theme park will also be in effect for the Halloween Horror Nights event at Universal Studios Hollywood. This change comes right before start of Universal Studios and many other businesses will be requiring proof of at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to enter, starting October 7. Wineries, bars, breweries, and nightclubs will also be included in the new vaccination mandate. Restaurants with indoor dining will not be a part of the new mandate but are highly encouraged to follow the new procedures.

Yesterday, the LA Times reported that “the number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Los Angeles County has dropped below 1,000 for the first time in two months — underscoring the region’s slow but steady progress in turning the tide of the latest coronavirus surge.” It is hopeful that this new face mask mandate at Universal Studios Hollywood be lifted fairly soon as the county heads in the right direction with the drop in hospitalization rates and as more people get vaccinated.

How do you feel about the face mask mandate returning to Universal Studios Hollywood?!
