I actually love this idea. If you are a Disney fan that’s looking to make a connection with someone that truly gets what you’re into, there’s a dating site for you! Mousemingle.com is a dating site to help match you with your ideal Mickey, Minnie, prince or princess.
Creator Dave Tavres, a fellow Disney lover, thought up the dating site after a 2011 trip to Disneyland.
He told Mashable:
“As usual with my friends, they asked about my dating status and why I wasn’t trying the online dating sites. I told them I had tried them [other dating sites], but there was no way to narrow down the searches to find women in the right distance and age range who loved Disney.”
They indicate that they have members all over the world and you don’t have to live near a park. Which makes sense as Disney fans do live everywhere. They offer temporary mobile apps on both Android and ios to aid with your search.
I found this via PopSugar and they have a bit more info about it:
“To register your profile, all you need to submit is a username (ILoveDisney is already taken, by the way), email, password, your gender, and the gender you’re seeking to date. From there, you’ll be connected to other users who share your passion for Disney. The best part is the many Disney-related filters you can search for, including the type of annual pass you have, your favorite Disney park, and your favorite characters.”
Like other “effective”dating sites, they seem to do a thorough enough delve into your specific Disney preferences. They offer meet-ups, featured profiles, and a Success Story.
I think it’s a sweet idea. Someone who understands why you envision romance as scenes from a Disney movie and feels the same way! I’m not sure of the pricing now, but in 2015 it was 12.55 a month(with the .55 being a nod to the year Disneyland opened.) It’s been around for a little while now, so it might be old news to some Disney fans, but I’m only just hearing about it, and thought maybe someone would like to try it. I would love to see commercials for this!
