Extra FastPass+ Option Coming to Walt Disney World For Some Guests

There has a been a rumor going around, about extra FastPasses and apparently it has been confirmed by a Disney representative to My News 13, that there will be a new Extra FastPass+ Option coming.

Beginning Friday, January 12, a pilot program will allow club-level resort guests will be able to purchase 3 more fast passes per person, per day.  Club-level guests can add the option after making their initial reservation.

Currently these are the Club-Level rooms that offer the option.

  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Club Level
  • Disney’s BoardWalk Inn – Club Level
  • Disney’s Contemporary Resort – Club Level
  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa – Club Level
  • Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort – Club Level
  • Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – Club Level
  • Disney’s Yacht Club Resort – Club Level
  • Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – Cabins
  • Disney’s Polynesian Village Villas & Bungalows – Bungalows
  • Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels – Presidential Suites, Governor Suites, Parlor Suites, Premium Alcove Room

How Extra FastPass+ Will Work

The cost will be $50 per person, per day, and will also give them access to preferred viewing of night-time shows.  It also allows them to book their additional FastPasses 90 days in advance, instead of the 60 days that resort guests get.

It also allows these guest to use FastPasses in more than one park a day, when you have a valid Park Hopper. I know that’s an option people have been requesting.

Those purchasing will get 3 extra FastPasses a day, but they can only be used once per ride. So someone can’t get 3 extra passes for say “Flight of Passage.”

To purchase you must have valid theme park admission or an annual pass. There is also a three-day minimum ($150 per person) to participate.

I know people are worried that this will affect their chances at booking FastPasses for rides like “Flight of Passage” or the new stuff coming with Toy Story Land.  From what we understand this will NOT affect regular park guests FastPass options when booking 60 days in advance.

  1. If true Disney once again proves it’s prowess at “magically” extracting extra $$$ from guests who purchase tickets/passes and convincing them they should be happy for the “privilege.”
