Back in 2007, everyone fell in LOVE with the live action Fairytale “Enchanted.” The film was filled with fantastic musical numbers and witty dialog. The sequel has been on everyone’s minds since…well, the end of the movie!
We now can all rejoice, Patrick Dempsey is indeed returning to his role as Robert Philip alongside Amy Adams as Princess Giselle in Disenchanted. Being released on Disney+!
On Disney’s Investor Day last year, they confirmed the sequel along with a slew of other projects. While we don’t know the rest of the cast for sure, this is certainly great news!
Patrick said in a quick interview with Good Morning America: “I just got this script for the second movie and then I’m starting to go through and get notes together. . “There’s talk that we’ll start shooting that in the spring.”
Enchanted, follows Giselle (Amy Adams) from her home in animated Andalasia, into modern-day New York City. There, she tries to find her way back to Andalasia and her Prince, Edward (James Marsden). She meets Robert (Patrick Dempsey) who helps her find her way in this new world. Giselle realizes her life in the fairytale land isn’t everything it seems. She may want more than she planned!
Disenchanted will follow the events of the first film. Adam Shankman is set to direct, but not a whole lot has been released on the plot.

I am personally so happy about this news, I love the Enchanted franchise and can’t wait to see what they bring to the sequel!
