We just checked out the progress on the Tron Coaster and the Tomorrowland Speeday a few days ago while riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority (TTA) People Mover.
Take a look!
Here’s photos of the current state of the Speedway. They track is being re-routed to accommodate the upcoming Tron coaster.
You can see all the cars parked in the first two photos.
Here you can see a piece being paved.
In the next few photos we can see the progress on the upcoming Tron Coaster that will be located behind Space Mountain and the Tomorrowland Speedway.
There is a structural base forming in the background of these photos. Plus we can see a pile of materials to be used in the groundwork.
Hopefully we will get some more views as it moves along, but that’s where it is currently. Make sure to ride the Tomorrowland Transit Authority (TTA) Peoplemover when you make your next visit to the Magic Kingdom to see the progress being made!
The Tron Coaster should open in 2021. The Speedway should open back up in May (18th has been reported) this year.
