Spend Your Valentine’s Day On A Disney Date Night At Disney Springs

My husband and I have been married for over 8 years and Walt Disney World has played a major part in our relationship since the very beginning. In fact, we were working the whole “childless millennial” thing, before it was even a thing. As we’ve grown in our relationship and our family, Disney has grown right along with us.

By no means am I a relationship expert, but one thing I know for sure and truly believe in, is that after 14 years of being together and 8 years of marriage, it’s crucial to our marriage that we still find time for the occasional date night. And I think it’s a special thing when you can “date” your spouse, even after all these years. Another very important piece of advice I have is, “happy wife, happy life.” So when my husband and I have the chance to combine our love of Walt Disney World (which makes me a happy wife) with the necessity of a date night, it’s a win for the both of us.

I recently had the chance to visit some of the newest restaurants and experiences at Disney Springs and throughout the day I kept saying to myself “I need to have a Disney date night here soon, there’s so much to do!” What’s great about Disney Springs is that it provides couples the unique opportunity to dine at several world-class restaurants, while offering some of the best and most immersive experiences you’ll only be able to find at Walt Disney World. It’s the perfect place to get back to the people you were before double-wide strollers and Mickey balloons dictated your vacation.

This Valentine’s Day, there’s no better way to celebrate than by visiting Disney Springs and dining at the crown jewel of Disney Spring’s restaurants, Jaleo by José Andrés. Once your done with your meal, you must take your valentine to the NBA experience where you can both take advantage of the 13 unique experiences and several arcade games the venue has to offer.

Jaleo is a one of a kind dining experience brought to Disney by world-renowned Chef José Andrés. It’s located on the West Side of Disney Springs. Jaleo boasts 4 open kitchens, lavish bars with custom cocktails, a prime water front view and a menu full of authentic dishes that celebrate the spirit of España amidst a vibrant atmosphere. Each of the items on the menu are crafted by expert chefs and each dish tells a story- making them as interesting as they are flavorful.

Whether you’re sitting at the bar or one of the restaurant’s intimate tables, you’re guaranteed a front-row seat to some of the best meals currently being offered anywhere at the Walt Disney World Resort. The overall vibe and feel of the restaurant is the perfect romantic setting.

In case my words fail to give this restaurant the justice it deserves, the video below will show you everything Jaleo by José Andrés has to offer. You can also click here to visit their website.

Date night doesn’t stop there. Once you’ve savored every delicious bite at Jaleo, all you have to do is walk across the way and you’re at your next destination- the NBA Experience.

Before you read any further, here me out- you don’t have to be a fan of the NBA or even sports in general to enjoy the NBA Experience. I spent 3 hours in the place and it made me a believer. A believer that if you provide your guests with experiences they won’t find anywhere else in the world, the latest in gaming technology, and place it all in a fun and energetic venue- you’ll win over anyone who walks through that door. That’s exactly what the NBA Experience delivers.

It’s impossible to not feel like a kid again when you’re participating in any of the 13 unique games it has, all exclusive to the NBA Experience. Who hasn’t dreamt of making a game-winning play at the buzzard or successfully dunking a basketball? Here, you can do all of that and much more. It’s also a great way to shake up your date night and do something you normally wouldn’t do together. Trust me when I say, it will bring you closer together in a way you never expected.

When I was there, I realized the NBA Experience would especially be a great gift to my husband. I’m always struggling to find the perfect gift for him and we often joke because I usually end up giving him another framed picture of him and the kids or him and I. Seriously, how many framed pictures does it take before you realize the NBA Experience is the perfect thing to gift your loved one? I also speak from experience when I say that you’ll enjoy it just as much as him, it’s that good.

The best way I could describe to you the type of date night experience you’ll have there is like this; Remember when you first started dating and you’d go to carnivals where you’d play games all night and you’d leave feeling all “twitterpated?” The NBA Experience will bring back all those memories and emotions. It allows for each of you to escape the pressures and stresses of adult life, and for a couple of hours you’ll have the chance to be those kids again. It’s a real “date your spouse” type of experience.
