Insiders, an exciting new update is about to go into effect at Walt Disney World theme parks! According to the Disney World website, starting this Thursday, April 8 you will be able to take outdoor photos with masks OFF!
The rule is that you must be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing during the time you have your mask off while taking a photo!
Disney World has also made it clear that face masks are to remain at all times (even if your are vaccinated!), but you may temporarily remove your face covering while actively eating, drinking, and now taking an outdoor stationary photo!
CEO Bob Chapek also made a statement during the Annual Meeting of Shareholders earlier this year that he expects some form of mask-wearing and social distancing to continue through 2021.
Now that vaccines are becoming more accessible it is likely we will see more mask policies change in order to allow for photos with masks off. There is still no word on if this change will also be going into effect at Disneyland Resort as well as Orange County, California continues to also move in the right direction. Disneyland is scheduled to reopen on April 30!
