Will Vision Be Joining the Rumored ‘Scarlet Witch’ TV Series?

Following up on the rumors of new Avengers-based TV series for Disney’s upcoming streaming service, it’s possible that Scarlet Witch won’t be alone should her show get the greenlight.

According to SlashFilm, The Vision (Paul Bettany) may be joining Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch. Given that Scarlet Witch and the Vision were romantically linked in the comics, and shown as a couple in Infinity War, it seems like a no-brainer.

Here’s what SlashFilm has to say…

The other thing I’m hearing is that Paul Bettany‘s Vision will have a large part in the previously reported Scarlet Witch show. In fact, it may actually be a series more about the super-powered couple than just Wanda. This makes sense to me, as Wanda’s relationship with Vision is more compelling than Wanda on her own, and the two have a long and fascinating relationship in the pages of Marvel comics. I don’t think Scarlett Witch has received proper development outside of maybe Civil War, so a series that explores her further via her relationship with Vision makes sense.

But wait, there’s more!

In addition to the rumors of Scarlet Witch and Vision coming to the small screen, there’s also word that Captain America’s sidekicks Bucky and Falcon may also team up.

From SlashFilm…

Disney is developing a Falcon/Winter Solider team-up television series that would reunite frenemies Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie on the small screen Disney streaming service. We learned this news independently, but a new story from Variety has revealed that Disney has tapped Malcolm Spellman as the writer for the new series, which is currently in development.

While a Falcon and Bucky spinoff sounds like it could be pretty cool, it makes you wonder about the fate of Captain America after Avengers 4. Especially after some of the recent comments that Chris Evans has been making lately.

Other rumored series include one that could be focused on Loki.

Disney hasn’t officially confirmed either series yet, but it seems likely given how much they’re relaying on established IP — that also includes Star Wars — to kick off their Netflix competitor.
